The aim of the facility is to rescue orphaned orangutans who are left to fend for their own sake due in the event of unlawfully braiding and harvesting and who have been found to be held as animals (which is unlawful in Malaysia). They will be released if they can do so. Tours are meant to align with feeding times when the animals are normally present on feeding platforms. Visitors can see orangutans in the middle.
